LED bulbs are getting more and more popular for aftermarket car groups.
Take T10 wedge LED bulbs for example, it will replace the stock 168 194 2825 W5W wedge bulbs and are usually used at many different places for any car, SUV or trucks such as parking lights, interior dome lights, side door courtesy lights, backup reverse lights or license plate lights.
However, quite many times, inexperience customers might run into this issue that the LED bulb does not light up.
Is this LED bulb defective? Don't conclude it so soon, let me explain the two most common reasons that will cause this T10 wedge LED bulb not lighting up.
For most LED bulbs, it is simply plug and play, but there are two main reasons causing the LED bulb not lighting up
1. LED bulb is polar sensitive, just like any dry battery that has positive and negative terminals, if the positive side of the LED bulb does not match with the power's positive, the LED bulb will not light up at all. Simply flip the LED bulb around in case it doesn't light up.
2. Sometimes, the LED bulb does not light up because of the loose connection. To solve this issue, simply flip the pins on the base of the LED bulb outwards and side-wards a little bit.
Because of this reason, when you run into a "Defective" T10 LED bulb, give it a second chance.
1. Flip the pins outwards and side-wards a little bit and insert the bulb again.
2. If not light up, flip the bulb 180 degrees and try again.
Enjoy your new LED lights.
